Velo Scout ("the app") is a bicycle component lookup and reference tool. This policy explains what information the app does — and does not — collect.
Velo Scout does not require an account, sign-in, or any personal information to use. The app does not collect, store, or share names, email addresses, location data, or device identifiers.
When you search or browse within the app, your search terms and selections are sent to our backend service solely to return matching results (components, brands, categories, and pricing data). We do not log these requests in a way that identifies you personally, and we do not use them for advertising or profiling.
Velo Scout does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software development kits (SDKs).
The Marketplace feature displays listings from third-party marketplaces and links out to their websites. If you follow one of these links, you leave Velo Scout and that third-party site's own privacy policy applies. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.
Velo Scout does not store any data locally on your device beyond what's needed to display the current screen, and does not retain user data on our servers.
Velo Scout does not knowingly collect information from children and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date.
